Life Drawing at Mill Farm

While I was up in Scotland teaching I had the chance to go along to Susie‘s life drawing sessions. Her and a few fellow artists get together once a week to draw and socialise.

I was a little worried about it to start with; I haven’t done any life drawing for quite some time. The worry disappeared very quickly though. The life drawing session was really good. It was like meeting an old friend that you have not seen for a very long time and realising that nothing has changed – you are as comfortable and easy in their company now as you were before. It helped that Susie has a great model. She was very good at holding the same pose for thirty to forty minutes, giving you plenty of time to draw. The chin-wag and glass of wine with the other artists afterwards was also fun. I had forgotten how much I enjoy life drawing, I think I might have to go and find myself a group to join…
